About the Department

The EEE department has been established with the firm commitment of developing and producing quality Electrical and Electronic Engineers with high-technical knowledge and good practical basis, combined with leadership skills and decision making capabilities. The curriculum of the department of electrical and electronics engineering is therefore designed to impart the students consummate knowledge and skills for careers in wide range of industries. The courses for diploma program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering comprise of four semesters with three courses per semester. These courses typically include Electrical Machines, Electrical Circuit Theory, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Electronics, Measurement and Instrumentation, Transducers and Signal Conditioner, Power System, Special Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Micro controller, Electrical Estimation and Energy Auditing.
The department has faculty members from the best in the academics, with vast experience in specializations in Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Applied Electronics, VLSI and Embedded system. The Laboratories are fully equipped with sophisticated equipments and machines as per the norms of Directorate of Technical Education.
The department boasts of distinguished and dedicated faculty that offers full support to the students to help bring out the best in them. Students’ are given a free choice to select the electives from a variety of courses being offered by the department in conjunction with the other allied branches of study.The Department library houses large volumes of various tiles which serve both the faculty and students.

Alumni Meeting

Industrial and In-Plant training is being made compulsory for second and third year students during summer vacations. This not only helps the students in acquiring knowledge about new technologies but also acts as an insight into management aspects. Students are expected to undergo training for a period ranging from 15 days to 1 month in an industry and submit a detailed report for evaluation after completion of their training Industrial visits are organized regularly for the students which motivate them to understand the industry pattern, technical aspects and the current industrial practices.

Workshops

The in plant training provided to the students is a unique aspect in our institution which helps them to obtain practical knowledge and exposure to the real time technical aspects and problems. The students are motivated to undergo In plant training (IPT) at the industries during the summer / winter vacation in order to know about the industry better and to correlate what is taught in the class rooms with the realities in the industry.
